ShipNet is the largest vendor of ERP systems for the Shipping Industry and a member of the Inchcape Shipping Services Group.   Over 250 Shipping Customers are running our ShipNet software and we have approximately 120 employees with branch-offices world-wide. ShipNet are located in US, Norway, UK, Greece, Dubai, Chennai, Singapore and Japan.

 Due to increase of activity in the APAC Region, we are looking for a Consultant in our offices in Singapore or Tokyo

 Application Consultant – Chartering & Operations

 Key accountabilities:

  • Delivering business process & application consulting services which includes process design, application configuration, testing and client training on the software, technologies & tools in accordance with the implementation methods.
  • Install complex and advanced configurations and technologies.
  • Provide internal training and expertise on new technologies and the integration with products.
  • Provide sanity support testing for new products prior to external product release
  • Develop positive, ongoing business relationships with the client’s executive management team, end users and third parties to understand their business issues and how they are impacted by products and services.

Required experience and Personal Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Basic Accounting or in a business related field).
  • 3 years of knowledge/experience in Chartering & Operations application/technology areas.
  • Speaks fluently Japanese and English. Ability to communicate issues and solutions and deal with people in the Shipping business environment.
  • Strong Consulting skills, sales of additional services, customer management, communication and presenting skills.
  • Proactive and good problem solving skills – able to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
