Technical Management Consultant

Position: Technical Management Consultant 
Area: Japan, Tokyo

 Due to rapid growth we are seeking to strengthen our team in Tokyo with a Business Consultant specialized in Safety and Planned Maintenance solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively apply technical, applications, or functional knowledge to delivery projects and where appropriate, provide leadership.
  • Provide clients with consulting expertise and “best practice” recommendations. 
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to the client on project phases, milestones, and overall progress.
  • Install complex and advanced configurations and technologies.
  • Provide internal training and expertise on new technologies and the integration with products.
  • Provide leadership through knowledge sharing, mentoring, coaching and skills development to others giving performance feedback and assignment reviews.
  • Lead single suite projects independent of a project manager whilst applying same project management standards and reporting as directed by PMO
  • Develop other resources, within their domain areas, acting as a role model to demonstrate leadership, conflict resolution and providing feedback on performance. 
  • Lead detailed implementation planning, project plan and coordination while developing positive customer relationships (executive level and end user), creating a high level of customer satisfaction, and effective team management.
  • Foster teamwork by planning and addressing strategic issues as a team; encouraging collaboration among team members and between teams; and acknowledging and celebrating team accomplishments as it pertains to the business of software implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Develop positive, ongoing business relationships with the client’s executive management team, end users, and third parties striving to understand the client’s business issues and how they are impacted by products and services.

 Knowledge & Experience:

  • Fluent Japanese and good English are a core requirement.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Maritime Services and Solutions.
  • More than 5 years of knowledge/experience in Safety and/or Planned Maintenance processes, preferably in Marine Industry.
  • Preferably a sea-going experience.
  • Strong communication and presenting skills.
  • Project Management experience will be an advantage.
