Job Description

Reporting to a Resource Manager or Project Manager, the responsibilities of this role include are split between code development and debugging and analysis and design of solutions of high-priority and complex systems/pieces within a project.

You will also be responsible for creation and implementation of the technical detailed design (Low-Level Design) of a system for smaller projects or specific pieces (modules) of a larger project.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and understanding customer requirements , managing the scope of work and delivery in line with the contract ,
• Writing detailed specifications for software development and system development
• Make recommendations to improve systems using initiative and creativity , both basic and innovative where appropriate taking into account user and business needs
• Perform high quality coding to written technical specifications thru strong analytical and programming skills.
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
• Plan and work flexibly to deadlines; provide support out-of-hours when required during new implementations
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
• Test high quality code using best practices
• Responsible for doing unit testing of their own code. Peer and joint review, with excellent reviewing skills.
• Backend SQL queries and Stored Procedures
• Adhere to the software development processes
• Take ownership of problems and follow through to resolution in a timely manner
• Work with the team and deliver quality work as per agreed schedulCreate complex, enterprise-transforming business applications
• Perform related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

• This position requires at least a Bachelors degree in engineering/Computer science/IT
• Working Experience in Dot Net Framework 2.0 / 3.0 /3.5
• Programming experience in Web forms – Web based application & Winforms too
• Hands on Experience in third party controls like Dev Express or Infragistics
• Knowledge on C#
• MS SQL 2000/2005 or Oracle working experience required.
• 5 years to 7 years of experience in software development

Desirable Qualifications

• Working Experience in Dot Net Framework 4.0 will be added advantage
• Awareness of Service oriented Architecture
• Experience in ERP Development
• Worked in any shipping domain project/Product
• Knowledge of Silver light and windows presentation foundation (WPF)
• GUI / Interface Designing capability and experience
