Key Responibilities

• Analyzing and understanding customer requirements , managing the scope of work and delivery in line with the contract
• Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers.
• Make recommendations to improve systems using initiative and creativity , identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
• working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction as per agreed schedule
• keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments
• Work with Development Team to meet technical expectations and goals.
• Responsible for providing technical input into designs and creation of technical design documents.
• Writes, edits, and debugs new programs for assigned projects wrt technical specifications thru strong analytical and programming skills.
• Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming.
• Plan and work flexibly to deadlines; provide support out-of-hours when required during new implementations
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
• Responsible for doing unit testing of their own code. Peer and joint review, with excellent reviewing skills.
• Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
• Review and repair legacy code.
• Adhere to the software development processes
• Take ownership of problems and follow through to resolution in a timely manner

Essential Qualifications

• This position requires at least a Bachelors degree in engineering/Computer science/IT
• Working Experience in Dot Net Framework 2.0 / 3.0 /3.5
• Programming experience in Web forms – Web based application & Winforms too
• Hands on Experience in third party controls like Dev Express or Infragistics
• Knowledge on C#
• MS SQL 2000/2005 or Oracle working experience required.
• 7 years to 10 years of experience in software development

Desirable Qualifications

• Working Experience in Dot Net Framework 4.0 will be added advantage
• Awareness of Service oriented Architecture
• Experience in ERP Development
• Worked in any shipping domain project/product
• Knowledge of Silverlight and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
• GUI / Interface Designing capability and experience
