Meet the team
I feel fortunate to lead the amazing Shipnet team, delivering outstanding solutions and services for our customers. I’ve been working with software for 25 years in many different verticals around the world and particularly enjoy working with the maritime industry. I’m passionate about getting the best out of people, be that our staff or customers, and I love learning new things and geeking out about the power mindset. In my spare time I play tennis and I’ve recently rediscovered my childhood passion for the piano.
I’m responsible for sales at Shipnet, leading our highly-skilled sales and account team. I’m passionate about the shipping industry and have been ever since the mid-90s when I joined a shipping company in Norway. This move definitely influenced how I operate and how I manage and coach my team. I’m always thinking about where we make improvements will be make our customers’ lives better. When not in the office, I’m very passionate about ice hockey and my kids have fortunately followed in my footsteps.
I’m responsible for getting Shipnet out into the world, to give it a voice in the market and position us as the best provider of maritime software solutions. I’ve worked in marketing for over 20 years in many different sectors, starting my career in advertising launching everything from nappies to vodka. For the last seven years, I’ve focussed on the tech industry. When it comes to marketing, I always look to add personality to tech and simplify the complex – which is regrettably harder than it sounds. I love the sea, spending time in it and as a movie enthusiast watching films about it. And if anyone says that Jaws is not the best film ever made, well…
With over 15 years of experience in the maritime and sales industry, I am a management professional that has extensive experience in shipping, sales management and customer service. I have worked for top companies such as Transas Marine, Wartsila Voyage solution and OneOcean and helped to drive the sales of many key products within SaaS and services. My management style encourages employees to reach their full potential resulting in talent retention. I graduated as a sea captain with a bachelor’s degree in nautical science and worked a couple of years at seas before I decided follow in my fathers’ footsteps in sales. I enjoy all kinds of sports and a regular runner. As a father of two (soon to be three) life is pretty busy, but a lot of fun.
I head up the product development and IT infrastructure management team. I lead product development, innovation, and quality of all products delivered by Shipnet, driving technology solutions that improve employee and customer experience. With 25 years’ experience (ten of which have been with Shipnet), I’ve worn various hats as a developer, product manager and delivery manager. Having setup greenfield IT units in India, I’ve developed unique team-building skills, possessing both start-up and corporate experiences to lead nimble teams while still understanding corporate intricacies. I’m an avid sports fan and have a real passion cricket – yes, the one played over five days with lunch and tea breaks!
At Shipnet I manage the portfolio of products and work with exciting new start-ups across the globe to introduce their products to our customers. I joined the maritime industry five years ago, after a career advising business, government and charities how to improve their performance and results using technology. In my spare time at home, I enjoy making music with my ever-growing collection of synths, and electronic music gadgets.
I’m responsible for the implementation of our solutions – from the moment an agreement is signed to the time it’s handed over to our support team. I’ve been with Shipnet since 2009 as a project manager and was responsible for all projects in Europe, Middle-East and North America between 2013 to 2018. I’m a football fan and love cheering on Arsenal, but my real passion is cooking for friends and family with a glass of Bordeaux in hand – it must be in my French blood.
I’m responsible for the new Customer Success team. I ensure our customers are at the forefront of the day-to-day decisions and our ongoing strategy. My main goal is to cultivate healthier customer relationships via open and transparent lines of communication. Before ShipNet, I worked in the public sector, supporting families and children through some of their most difficult moments. Although at times difficult, it was incredibly rewarding and has given me the ability to really listen. I have a husband, two daughters and two dogs, so life is never dull, and the house is rarely quiet.
